I was looking over the RC1 code and noticed lots of dual queries being built. Is this final code or is this being merged into a db class layer?

We had to cater for some subtle differences between MySQL and MS SQL. I don't like it much myself, but that's what we've come up with for now. If possible, I'd like to keep these things at a minimum and possibly get rid of some of them again in the future (should be possible in directory.php, for example). But that will have to wait for 1.4.2 ...
