I agree ! The lack of decent doco' is a problem.
Okay, so we could all spend hours looking over existing code, making our own notes and finding out how things could or should be done.
The problem with this approach is the time it takes to become proficient. If decent documentation is available you can get stuck right in to the project, without having to be Sherlock Holmes first.
Ultimately it means you can concentrate on the problem at hand and not be concerned that you are doing it wrong, or have missed something, or worse have chosen a poorly written example as your template.
I have a few ideas I'd love to implement, but the time needed to reverse engineer the existing code makes it a task I can easy put off 'for another day''.
I will get around to it one day though :-)
