Note: Make sure your 3rd party Geeklog plugins are updated to the latest version as they are required to use the function COM_createHTMLDocument. This replaces the functions COM_siteHeader and COM_siteFooter. If you are unsure if a plugin supports Geeklog v2.2.0 then either disable it during the install or uninstall it.
Before the final Geeklog v2.2.0 release we plan to release a number of updated plugins to support the new Geeklog version. This includes:
- Forum (current version still will work with Geeklog v2.2.0)
- Autotags
- Ban
- GUS
- Menu
- Searchrank
- Net Tools
- FAQ and FAQMan
- Downloads
- Media Gallery (hopefully, maybe late)
These plugins can be found on Github in our Geeklog Plugins Repository. Most are currently in testing and have close to final code. Feel free to test these updated plugins and provide any feedback.
We would also like to put a request out there for translators. If you speak and write another language besides English or Japanese and would like to contribute to Geeklog please join the geeklog-translations mailing list. Translating Geeklog isn't complicated. Instructions can be found on the Geeklog Wiki or simply ask on the translation list.
We would like to encourage you to download this beta version, try it out, and give us your feedback. This is a beta version and it may still contain bugs. If you find any please report them in our Bug Tracker on GitHub. Depending on what issues are found the development team hopes to have the final release of Geeklog v2.2.0 before July.
Remember if you would like to chat with any of the community one of the best place to reach us is on Gitter in the Geeklog room.
