FrOSCon[*1] is a 2-day conference on Free Software and Open Source, taking place on August 25th and 26th, 2007, in Sankt Augustin, Germany. This is the second time this conference is held. I was there last year[*2] and was pretty impressed by the quality of the presentations and the organisation of the conference.
In addition to the regular program[*3] (now online), FrOSCon also provides room for Open Source projects to hold their own user meetups. So this year, there will be a Geeklog Day at FrOSCon on Saturday, August 25, 2007.
We will be using this opportunity to introduce Geeklog to a wider audience with some introductory sessions. Plans also include a session or two on future development as well as a first demonstration of the results of the Summer of Code[*4] which will be in its final stages by then. So we should have something for everybody (and, of course, there's also the regular FrOSCon program to choose from).
So if you're interested in Geeklog and in Open Source in general, FrOSCon is the place to be this year. We hope to see some of you there!
