Anonymous Access

The Geeklog source code can be checked out anonymously from our Mercurial repository:

hg clone http://project.geeklog.net/cgi-bin/hgwebdir.cgi/geeklog/

You can also browse the source code by pointing your web browser to that same URL: Geeklog Mercurial Repository

PEAR

Geeklog requires PEAR for some functions, e.g. to send emails. If you don't have PEAR installed on your webserver, download the following tarball and unpack it inside your /path/to/geeklog/system/pear directory:

http://project.geeklog.net/nightly/geeklog-pear.tar.gz

Please note that Geeklog versions pulled from the Mercurial repository may require more or other PEAR packages than the official releases. The above tarball should include all you need for the current development version.

Nightly Tarball

If you don't want to check out the sources yourself, a nightly tarball is available from

http://project.geeklog.net/nightly/geeklog-nightly.tar.gz

The Nightly Tarball already includes the required PEAR classes.

General Notes

The developers try to keep the repository in a working state. However, this may not always be the case. Also, it is not recommended to mix files from the repository with previously released versions unless you know exactly what you're doing ...

AptitudeCMS

Our sister project AptitudeCMS (formerly Geeklog 2) provides access to its source code via the AptitudeCMS Repository.

You can also check out the AptitudeCMS source code using Subversion:

A nightly tarball of the AptitudeCMS from SVN is not yet available.
