Wednesday, May 14 2008 @ 08:36 PM EDT Anonymous CVS AccessGeeklog's CVS repository can be checked out through anonymous (pserver) CVS with the following instruction set. When prompted for a password for anonymous, simply enter "geeklog". To determine the names of the modules created by this project, you may examine their CVS repository via the provided web-based CVS repository viewer for Geeklog 1.x or Geeklog 2.x, respectively. For Geeklog-1.x: cvs -d:ext:anonymous@cvs.geeklog.net:/cvsroot/geeklog co Geeklog-1.x For Geeklog-2.x: cvs -d:ext:anonymous@cvs.geeklog.net:/cvsroot/geeklog2 co Geeklog-2.x Nightly CVS tarballA nightly tarball of the Geeklog 1.x CVS is available from http://www.geeklog.net/nightly/geeklog-cvs-nightly.tar.gz A nightly tarball of the Geeklog 2.x CVS is available from http://www.geeklog.net/nightly/geeklog2-cvs-nightly.tar.gz PEARGeeklog requires PEAR for some functions, e.g. to send emails. If you don't have PEAR installed on your webserver, download the following tarball and unpack it inside your /path/to/geeklog/system/pear directory: http://www.geeklog.net/nightly/geeklog-pear.tar.gz Please note that the CVS version may require more or other PEAR packages than the official releases. The above tarball should include all you need for the current CVS version. General NotesThe developers try to keep CVS in a working state. However, this may not always be the case. Also, it is not recommended to mix files from CVS with previously released versions unless you know exactly what you're doing ... If you're interested in keeping up with CVS development, we recommend you subscribe to the geeklog-devel and geeklog-cvs mailing lists. About CVSTo learn more about CVS, please visit the CVS homepage. CVS comes pre-installed on most flavours of Linux / Unix (including MacOS X). Simply type in the two commands above on the command line to get the latest development version of Geeklog from CVS. Windows users may want to download and install WinCVS. Follow the steps in this article. |
