That game was just plain evil. It would purposely send that swarm of bees after you to kill you if you were playing for more than 4 minutes.

Those bees would *always* kill me. I hated that game. :P

agreed, without a doubt. looked into buying it once - the video was a pain in the arse to keep working, as was the joystick... tough to maintain.

Galaga is cool, but don't forget Ms. Pacman. It's still my favorite. ;-)

Millipede is the definite winner (if you don't believe me, grab MAME and your personal ROM dump), but i understand the need for a finite number of poll options, so i chose Centipede. Still, it's really not as good as its ancestor.

Oh, and Ms. Pacman is a close runner-up.

Another vote for asteroids
  • ASTEROIDS!!!

Asteroids is great, but Spacewar is _THE_ original video game, AND its multi-player. Regardless, the arcade version sucked, so I'll have to vote for asteroids, even if its not an option.

It's Karate Champ, not Karate Master.

And Dude, 720 is not retro.

Now GORF or Wizard of War is retro.
