  • Dropdown for static pages

I started messsing with the FCKeditor l source last night to see if I could make a drop down list of the pages from the static pages list in the db and found it aa bit harder than I thought.

I was wondering if anyone else was interested in the is functionailty. I think it would make the editor , very easy for novice webmasters to admin.

This is mostly what I use GL for, the backend to websites fo novice admins. What do people think about this ideas.

I've voted for Links and Polls plugins. It was one of my only frustrations on Geeklog. You have all this stuff in it, it's nice when you use it you'll love it, but when you don't use it, it's there and it's never going to leave.

But, I sometimes use the links and polls plugins, but I've never ever used the calendar plugin. Could you guys please turn this into a plugin next release?

The calendar is probably the primary reason we choose Geeklog in the first place :-). That said making it a plugin would really make the primary install very nuts and bolts if thats the way you want it but a great starting point for those just getting into Geeklog. They would have several built in plugins ready to go.

Great work folks!

Although I use the GL calendar on one of my sites, two others don't use it at all, it's just added code hanging around. I prefer to use PHP icalendar for one site because I can update it from my Mac (using iCal), a GL plugin for that would be nice... On the other site I use a very powerful commercial calendar called Calcium by Brown Bear Software, for which I had toyed with an integration - but failed. Anyone else using these scripts with GL?

It's good idea to use text editor, but it's rather better to use Wiki-like text formatting.
