The glMenu plugin has been available for several years as a premium plugin from portalparts.com but as of now is an un-restricted public download. This plugin has been used on 100's of sites over the past few years and is now even better. This plugin lets you take control of your site header and block menu.

You can create multi-level menu's online and setup the color scheme or style all using the online menu editor. Multiple menu styles are available and version 3.0 has been re-engineered to have an extendable OO class so developers can add new menu styles. Easily now pick and choose the menu style and use the online color picker to theme your site menus. The online menu options are very flexible and you can define menu labels for multiple languages so they switch for the user based on their language preference.

Currently there are three menu styles available but within each style are multiple menu options and colors. Just about any menu style and color combination is supported:

  • Milonic Menu - one of the most popular javascript menus - www.milonic.com
  • Pure CSS Menu
  • ProCSS - like used for the site's header menu on portalparts.com is a CSS style menu with an image based design

Review the wiki docs for more information including the installation and user documentation.

You can download the file and please post your feedback in the forum on portalparts.com

Chevrotiere.com is pleased to announce the launch of the TaskMan plugin! TaskMan is a plugin for the Geeklog framework which keeps track of your tasks. With it you will record your to do list, and as you work on each item, you check in and check out each task. Once you have added and completed all your tasks, you can view the calendar to see just exactly what you did each day. And when your boss needs to know what you did, you can go to the reporting page, and print out a nice excel spreadsheet of all your activities, grouped by client and project!

Check out the documentation, and if you like what you see, you can download TaskMan from Chevrotiere.com.

Additionally, there are two new Geeklog themes which can also be downloaded from Chevrotiere.com. To preview these themes go to the theme documentation.

A new release of the filemgmt plugin is now available that addresses a potential security issue reported to me by Mark Evans. Additionally, this version resolves a number of issues with the display of sub-categories and now better handles displaying sub-categories and the number of files they contain.

There are no database changes so all that should be required is to replace the changed files or complete directories. Existing sites running version 1.5.2 or earlier need to run the plugun upgrade - from the plugin editor listing. This will update your installed version to reflect version 1.5.3.

The latest release of the Chatterblock plugin v3.1 is now available. The plugin will now work with Register_Globals disabled and has been tested on MySQL 5.0 (non-strict mode). There have been a few changes to support GL v1.4.1 themes and support now for SPAMX filtering of public messages as well as private messages via the /tell command.

There are no database changes so all that should be required is to replace the changed files or complete directories. Existing sites running version 3.x need to replace all the plugin files and run the plugin upgrade which just needs to update the version number.

The latest release of the forum plugin v2.7 is now available. It includes a number of small bug fixes that have been reported over the past few months as well as a couple of new features. You can now optionally have the forum appear with just left blocks, just right blocks, both left and right or no blocks. Additionally you can have the user menu appear as a horizontal navbar instead of the blockmenu. The options are defined in the themes functions.php so if you have multiple themes you can have it change for each theme if requried.

There are no database changes so all that should be required is to replace the changed files or complete directories. Existing sites running version 2.6 need to replace all the plugin files and run the plugin upgrade which just needs to update the version number. Refer to the v2.7_changes.txt file for more details and listing of the changed files.
