How do i make it so no one can add to calender except for the Admin aka me? By that, now people can only view the events which will occur as i stated on the calender.

turn $_CONF['personalcalendars'] to 0. This will disable the user's personal calendars and only the site-wide calendar will be usable.
The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice. |

I can place appointments in my personal and the group agenda, switch between them and open the mesaages by clcicking the hyerpink... but when I click on the global hyperlink (=number) of any day, I get an error.

This might be a pathing bug where we aren't setting the variable in that template. I'll have to look into this one.

Maybe the same path problem when I do not see the icons when I go one level deeper then group manager, for example Story Admin? (the icon group.gif was visible one level higher, but if I look at the path, it has in the deeper level the wrong path.)
By the way I am complete new to php apache mysql... so an ideal install-test monkey? (As monkey I did several reinstalls, like changing the folder name of geeklog. during reinstall I forget several times to adjust the site url-path (Blue) to the path to html directory... Arn't these always the same? IF SO, why not inherit the site url(blue) from the first one in the install-forms? |

Again strange things happen with paths:
ON phpTriad I read an article about using DNS2GO from Deerfield to bypass a firewall. I did try this for several php projects and everything went ok: Using Geeklog gave me a strange effect: the first page did work ok, but all the others, starting with the pictures on the first page did refer to the wrong pathnames. (Absolute instead of relative?) I was wondering if a new install of Geeklog, where give my DNS2GO server as answer to all the questions will solve the problem, but I have the feeling that there is something wrong with geeklog path-setting.. (IMHO I am a php-newbie) |
