I want to set up a new website for 200-300 artists. Each artist should be able to set up their own gallery space with a biio page containing links to their work. Each photo page should be able to have a description and a price. There should be a home page and a page that lists all artists by name and ganre. all completed galleries should have to be approved before being published.
ThanksUE21VH

Hi,

You need to create or ask someone to create a new plugin for this feature.

This is a nice project. Do not forget to ask any questions:
Does artists will be able to change their bio page ? Add new pictures? Remove old ones ? Change prices ? ...

I think your portal will need at least 100 hours of work (install core + build the plugin + design of the site) and this represents a big budget.

How about the Classifieds plugin?

Hi,

Welcome back beewee Smile

The classifieds plugin do not allow "a priori" moderation. Only post moderation is available.
Build a new plugin will be easier than to adapt an maladjusted one.

Would the project be easier to do if I run it behind geeklog?

Geeklog CMS can handle your project but as for any project you will need to add or customise the missing functions and the design.

Geeklog is good for content management (public and private) and can handle submission from users. But to make this possible you need to known php, js, html and css a little or have it done.
