Hi All!

I have been installing geeklog on a couple of Mac OS X 10.4 servers.. on one server when I try to install I get the following issue

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /Library/WebServer/geeklog/system/databases/mysql.class.php on line 120
Cannot connect to DB server

I just updated the php from the standard install to 5.20 . I also upgraded the mysql to the current 5.0.27.
I can use terminal and get into mysql.. I also use Navicat and have no problem... the php.info pulls up and displays all the updates.. I know that part is working fine.. so I don't understand ... can anyone help me with what I might try to resolve this ?

Thanks for your help in advance !

Did you (re)compile PHP after you installed MySQL? Apple's PHP expects the sockets in a different place than where the MySQL binaries from mysql.com put them.

bye, Dirk
