 Please what is the best version of Geeklog for upgrading? |

I'm a little confused about what is the newest geeklog version for downloading,I saw one that is GL2(beta) and the one that is microsoft msql (kind of)...
Which one should I download considering I have a little older version 1.3.11sr1 (I wanted to upgrade it last year but due to some problems and lack of time I couldn't install the newest one in that time)? Thanks Wheels for Independence |

The current stable version is 1.4.0sr5-1.
Geeklog 1.4.1 (which includes support for MS SQL) is still in beta and Geeklog 2 is nowhere near being usable for running a website. bye, Dirk |

Sorry for asking again, but ok, once I get this 1.4.0sr5-1 version, is it better to download the CVS or Spam-X plugin 1.0.2?
I have had lots of problems with those russian spammers and also now there are the Italian spammers,I really would love knowing what version of spam-X helps better/harder on spammers, thanks again. Wheels for Independence |

1.4.0sr5-1 includes the Spam-X plugin 1.0.3. You may want to add the updated Trackback library and SLV modules to it, though.

Glad I could help. Your site reminds me of wireless for the blind in England 8) But it is an American site? It is a bit odd your spelling behaviour with a U as they do it in England.
The reason why I address this is that you will have terrible problems with installing this plugin when you misspell the subdirectory. It has to be ---> bad_behavior without U. Sorry it looks like correcting you but believe me I did it wrong myself twice and called Dirk for help on the German forum because I didn`t get it installed This plugin is GOLD! Thanks to Dirk for adopting it to Geeklog! ~~~ Also check out the new captcha plugin: http://www.geeklog.net/filemgmt/index.php?id=798 Both together should help a lot. |

I really understand what you said about Behaviour with U, it happens that I used to talk a lot with Canadian people (friends) and from there I got the u for some words, though I am an english teacher and most times I use american english, so yes for using the plugging I know must be without U, but I thank you for what you have pointed me out, it's better to have those warnings!
