My favorite blog, Groklaw.net, uses Geeklog and I noticed something. Everytime PJ (the blogger), posts a new entry someone creates a comment thread for corrections and off-topic comments. Could this be something that could be generated automatically everytime a new entry is posted?
I'm sure not everyone would want this feature but maybe it could be made as an option you can turn on or off with a configuration flag? It seems like it would be fairly easy to implement. I'll admit I don't know much about the code behind Geeklog so my assumptions could be wrong. To expand this idea further, maybe the user could provide a list of threads titles to be automatically generated? Just an idea I thought I'd share. Tom |

There is already a plugin API function, plugin_itemsaved_xxx, that could be used for this.
