Are most themes not supposed to be working wtih the latest version? I seem to often see errors saying XXX.thtml is missing.

That is a huge shame for me. I have struggled with getting this running because i fell in love with XNature which I saw in the demo. i am not advanced enough to figure out how to rewrite it.

It's not that difficult perhaps. XNature is a changed XSilver theme which is updated to GL1.3.10. First upload the missing files (overwrite the complete layout/XNature/admin directory) and then see what's happening.

You might be lucky, and the 2 minutes FTP job is worth trying...

I have already download and uploaded it. GL just rejects it. I have no idea how to rewrite it, but thanks for the advice anyway. XSilver works.

I have read this sixteen times, and still cannot figure out what it means.

General note: To upgrade your custom theme for use with Geeklog 1.3.10, you can simply copy over any new template files from the Geeklog default theme.

i have now 7 themes, tried and tested, they work. i was in love with XNature after running your demo, and that is why i decided to try this out. unfortunately, given i cannot figure out what the hell that above line could possibly mean, i doubt very much i will get my XNature skin.

Translation: If Geeklog tells you it can not find file x then copy that file over from a theme that works and has that file.

There's an exception to this rule that's missing here: When it asks for the files archivestorytext.thtml or archivestorybodytext.thtml, you should make copies of storytext.thtml and storybodytext.thtml (of your current theme) and rename them accordingly.

Those 2 files are used for stories in the "archive" topic and making copies of the normal story templates ensures that the look matches that of the rest of the theme.

bye, Dirk
