Is there any simple, or kind of easy way, to upgrade the RSS feed to 1.0 or even 2.0 ?
all it does it display the text.. things like bold and proper breaks etc aren't going through. I am assuming it is because its just such and old and out-dated version of rss.

could there be another reason?

Check the Downloads section - there's a set of feed classes that let Geeklog write RSS 1.0 and 2.0 (as well as Atom).

Reading feeds is a different matter ...

Dirk where exactly is the upgrade in downloads? I can't find it. I want to announce my rss feed with a button, either xml or the rss version. I want to have the xml versions 0.91, 1.0 and 2.0. I want it to output the xml when clicked on and my viewers will copy the uri from here. Just like all the blogs do it. Not sure what rdf is but this seems very out of date. I want to get rid of this. do I have the rss feed documents in my files somewhere without a download? thank you

There's been some confusion about the naming (RDF vs. RSS) in the past. What Geeklog creates (out of the box) is actually RSS 0.90 - although the file is called geeklog.rdf for backward compatibility. But you can easily change that in the Content Syndication admin panel.

bye, Dirk
