Hi -
I'm looking for web portal software that I can use for a local restaurant review site that I am going to build. I'd like it to use mySQL and PHP. Geeklog looks like a good option, but I have a few features that I need. Specifically, I want a rating system that visitors can use. But I want it to have multiple "categories" for each place reviewed - e.g. separate ratings for food quality, service, atmosphere, etc. And, of course, I'd like summary ranking and statistics pages. I also want to be able to create templates for the entry pages so the reviews will have a uniform look to them. I'm pretty sure that Geeklog can be extended to do these things (can't it?), but is there something that is already developed? It would save me a bunch of time. thanks, -Matt |

You can ask blane, enom, or squatty about it. I'm sure one of them could create it easily. You could just use the rating system recently released and have a topic for 'Rate a Restaurant'. It won't be exactly what you want but it should get the job done til someone creates what you need.

Haven't tried it out myself yet, but user "GeeklogWorks" has just developed a rating system for Geeklog - see here.
bye, Dirk |
