As far as I can see blocks are global - that is to say they appear regardless of what Section is selected. How about an option in the blocks config to select whether the block is shown on the home page, or just under a specific section, like with Stories...?

Actually, a general improvement would be to swap that select-box with a load of checkboxes so that each Story (or Block) can belong to more than 1 Section.

the block editor allows you to select topics for blocks you create, the geeklog default blocks display in all topics.

True, but what if I would like my block to show up in three of five categories? This would be great!
