So, the site is working, but image uploading doesn't seem to work. Nothing happens when it's attempted. Could this be a firewall issue? How exactly are images uploaded to the server?

There's really nothing happening? The page just sits there and doesn't change?

Here's how it's supposed to work: You start a new story, enter [image1} in the story's text somewhere, select an image with the first "browse" button below the edit fields and then hit save. Please note that preview doesn't really work with images in stories, so you should save the story first, then view it (use the draft flag if you don't want the story to appear on the site yet).

bye, Dirk

Yep...literally NOTHING happens. No message in the error log, no image saved...nothing. The only distinguishable thing that happens is that the path in the image section is cleared. Even if I save it as a draft, no image appears to be saved, and the [image1] (the one I try) tag just shows up exactly as is in the message.

Now, I have a BUNCH of ports shut down, so I was wondering if I somehow have that one shut down on my server. However, I would hope that in that case, some message would be spewed to the errorlog at least.

Oh, I'm also using Mozilla 1.3 if that makes a difference.

Check your phpinfo() and make sure that it says file_uploads ON or file_uploads 1. If it says file_uploads NO VALUE you won't be able to upload images (or other files that use PHP).
