help files language sensitive
Started by:remy, 10/01/03 07:50PM
This could be done with sub-directories
in the help-dir.
There is no change in the GUI, since a
smart software gets the help-file in the
same way as GL gets the language file.
Another option would be to add a
help.php helper script.
But that would ...

Hi, Thanks for a great product! I have a
couple of feature requests. 1. Events -
Be able to create a recurring event
(i.e. - the event occurs every
Wednesday) 2. Polls - Be able to
\"close\" a poll or put an ending date
on it to finalize the results...

How about adding an optional \"box\" for
submitting stories ? so people can enter
the source of the news for instance, or
a relavant link. I know people can just
enter that stuff in the message but
still would be cool to have that box i
think.. anyways ...
Highly Desirable Feature(s) for Geeklog 2
Started by:anabavi, 09/13/03 01:00AM
I love Geeklog. Now that that's out of
the way . . . . I did a lot of research
and testing before deciding on Geeklog
for my company's Internet site. I
quickly determined some shortcomings
which continue to haunt me. Some have
been mitigated by plug...

I apologize in advance if this has been
discussed before... I have a site
running geeklog 1.3.8 (love it!) and
have been trying to bring users over to
the site rather than using the MSN group
(*puke*) they have been using for the
past year. So far so ...

I did a validate of the .rss newsfeed
just as a golly gee whiz and found that
there is a problem on line 4 of the
feed. I believe it is a simple fix in
just removing a return putting line 4
onto the end of line 3. Line 1348 of
lib-common.php (1.3.8) r...

File Search Results add Date
Started by:emagin, 08/21/03 05:36PM
When you search for text globally or by
TYPE=file listing, all the File results
never show a date. It should show a
date and a VERSION # in there so that
when you get multiple returns like
New Forum Suggestion: Upgrades
Started by:ScottMcW, 08/09/03 07:41PM
It might be nice to have a Forum section
solely dedicated to Upgrading Geeklog.
Any problems or issues associated with
that could be discussed there, as
opposed to where people are discussing
fresh installs. Just a thought.
Languages and blocks
Started by:jef, 07/30/03 09:49PM
Hi, I\'ve noticed that some text (mainly
in block dates, block titles and in
general time and date functions) is
always posted in English, no matter
what. I\'ve read through other forum
articles and find that language files
and blocks aren\'t necessar...

I actually had to put together yet
another website. (This makes 5 in the
last 4 months) I really wanted to go
with a CMS written in Perl, as I'm much
more familiar with Perl. I looked and
looked, and everything either required a
box with Apache, Li...
