Daily Dilbert Comic
|
This is a quick block that uses a native Web Service to retrieve the Daily Dilbert Comic. It will create a local cached copy of the image. The Web Service will be called only once per day. This could be modified to delete older images easily as well.
The block will show a reduced size image and link to the full sized image. |

Deleting Comments Hack and Bug Patch
|
| Currently only root users can remove comments on a site. This mod gives an admin the capability to grant others the same permission through the addition of two new rights: story.comment and poll.comment. The former will allow a non-root user to delete comments under a story while the latter one will allow him/her to remove comments under a poll. These two new permissions are automatically added to story admin and poll admin, respectively. The site admin can also give others permission by creating his/her own unique group and then assigning one or both of these new rights. |

Dokuwiki 1.8.0
|
DokuWiki is a standards compliant, simple to use Wiki, mainly aimed at creating documentation of any kind. It is targeted at developer teams, workgroups and small companies. It has a simple but powerful syntax which makes sure the datafiles remain readable outside the Wiki and eases the creation of structured texts. All data is stored in plain text files – no database is required.
The DokuWiki Integration Plugin for Geeklog provides an integration with your Geeklog v1.8.0+ website. This plugin is based on DokuWiki 2011-05-25a “Rincewind” which is the latest release at the time of this writing. |

Double columns
|
| A simple hack to allow single or double columns on your index page. Set a single variable in your config.php, add three template files to your theme, and replace your index.php. Remember to keep your old index.php around just in case!!! The index.php included is from 1.3.10rc2, which has not been tried with 1.3.9 series. |

Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) Block
|
The EFF block is a simple HTML block to allow your vistors to login directly to their EFF action center.
First and foremost, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF)is a donor-supported membership organization working to protect our fundamental rights regardless of technology; to educate the press, policymakers and the general public about civil liberties issues related to technology; and to act as a defender of those liberties. Among our various activities, EFF opposes misguided legislation, initiates and defends court cases preserving individuals' rights, launches global public campaigns, introduces leading edge proposals and papers, hosts frequent educational events, engages the press regularly, and publishes a comprehensive archive of digital civil liberties information at one of the most linked-to websites in the world: http://www.eff.org.
The EFF provides an 'Action Center' to provide you with alerts on technology and civil liberties issues and pending legislation where your action can make a difference. You will also find the tools and information you need to protect your rights in the digital world. Included in these tools are the ability to notify legislators of your views via fax, email, and snail mail directly from the website.
It is particularly important in today's world where legislators are attempting to pass such initiatives as Total Information Awareness to make your voice heard. |

Enhanced Site Index 1.2
|
Enhances siteindex "drop-in" that indexs all stories, comments, polls, static pages, links, events, and files within a GeekLog site for easy access by search engine robots. Just drop all files in your /public_html directory and link to siteindex.php from anywhere on your site. Note that Static Pages 1.2 and the Filemgmt plugin are required for the siteindex to work. |
