Geeklog Usage Stats [GUS] Plugin

This plugin collects statistics on who visits your site, what browser and operating system they are using, which pages they view, and which links they are clicking to get there. It allows the administrator to browse these stats through a series of tables, getting right down into the data.

* [fix] should now install properly on Geeklog 1.3.12cvs
* [fix] import now works on PHP < 4.2.0
* [fix] fixed typo preventing cleanup in one case when the install failed
* [fix] various HTML cleanups and fixes
* [new] clicking an IP address now takes you to a page where you can:
o lookup the IP using WHOIS
o turn data collection on and off for the IP
o you can ban the IP if you have the ban plugin installed
o see the list of hostnames associated with the IP
* [new] the tables now use CSS
o note that the themes have changed significantly, so if you've made changes you should look at them carefully
o GUS will look in the <public_html>/gus/css directory for a file named .css and use it if it exists. If not, it will use default.css. |

Optimize DB
|
A script to optimize the tables of your Geeklog database with the click of a button (you can do the same with phpMyAdmin - this is just easier to use ...).
Update: Added a second version of the script that can be called from a cronjob. |

Topic Overview & Menu Static page
|
This code shows an overview of all topics that the current user is supposed to see, together with the icon of the topic and a link to the topics storylist. The code is derived from functions in lib_common.php.
Version 2.2 Additions:
Now the static page is better suited for menus.
- added dimension setting for icons so you can shring them!
- optional text and optional text placement (below & left)
- font-size option
Paste this code without the <? ?> into a static page and set it to encode PHP, SET IT TO RETURN TYPE

Change Owner Static Page
|
This Code lets you change the owner of a story, event, comment or link.
Version 1.5 addition: If one of these or the amount of users exceeds 100, there will be an alpabetic filter to narrow down the list and reduce the amount of html on the page. |

This block shows a random picture from your stories.

Random Photo from Stories Block
|
This block shows a random picture from your stories. You can choose all or one certain topic, if you want to link to the story and if you want to display the story title below. Also you can choose a max-width of the picture to make sure they fit into the block
It will show only the pictures of a story that the current user is allowed to see.
To install this, copy and paste the function without the <? ?> into your /system/lib_custom.php and add a php-block that calls the phpblock_rand_story_pic function.
Improvements to version 1.0:
