Well you may have noticed a few changes with Geeklog.net. We have upgraded the site to use
Geeklog 2.0.0rc1 and have switched over to a new theme called Modern Curve.
We have already updated the topics of the site to take advantage of the new child topics feature and you can expect to see other changes coming in the near future that will make it easier to find information and support on Geeklog.
We also have 2 demo sites now (thanks to Ironmax). One is for the current version of Geeklog found at
http://demo.geeklog.net and the second one is for any pre-releases at
http://demonext.geeklog.net. Links to the Geeklog demo sites can be found under the Resources block on the left.
The following comments are owned by whomever posted them. This site is not responsible for what they say.
Also, why does commenting still takes place in a new page?
To change this you need to go to the Geeklog Configuration and search for "Sort Topics" and switch it to "By Number".
For comments on the same page you would be looking for in the configuration "Comment on Same Page" and "Show Comments at Replying".
Tom
Why aren't the latter two activated by default?
And can you please explain ""Show Comments at Replying"?
Show Comments at Replying - Comments can be displayed by themselves in some cases (without the article). This allows the comment the user is replying to, to be displayed along with the comment form.
New features could be disabled for upgrades but enabled for installations.

Have you seen the Geeklog Demo site? Check it out by clicking on the Demo Site link to the left under Resources - Getting started.
Geeklog 2.0.0 is not officially out yet - this is only a release candidate, which means that it may have issues.
If you find any problems, please report them so that we can fix them. Thank you.
