Welcome to Geeklog Wednesday, June 19 2013 @ 08:00 AM EDT
Geeklog 1.5.2 is now available for download. This is another maintenance release for the 1.5.x series but also includes a few minor improvements.
Since the release candidate, we've fixed an issue with static pages on PHP 4 (that was only introduced in 1.5.2rc1) and a problem with the story preview that caused the appearance of backslashes in the story title on some setups.
A list of the files that changed over 1.5.2rc1 is included as docs/changed-files.
On a side note, the tarball for 1.5.2rc1 was accidentally missing the "rc1" from the name. This has now been corrected. If in doubt, compare the entries in the docs/history files to see which tarball you have. Sorry for any confusion.

Yep, some greetings from Mac OS X. These files can safely be deleted. Sorry about that.
So can a site that has 1.5.1 installed simply replace the changed files in 1.5.1rc and then 1.5.2 as a method of upgrading, i.e. no database changes or anything like that?
(I've got plugins installed, 20 or so customised files and all the extra personal directories etc so much easier if I can just roll in a few files rather than start from scratch).
