Geeklog 1.5.0rc2

Announcements

The second release candidate for Geeklog 1.5.0 is now available for download. We expect this to be the last release candidate before the final release, so if you haven't had a chance, now would be a good time to try out the new features in 1.5.0 and help us track down any remaining bugs.

The changes over rc1: The bundled plugins will no longer read the old config.php files, setting the site's default language and theme in the Configuration now works, and inconsistencies in the layout of the admin screens have been fixed. There were also quite a few changes for internationalisation, which also required a few more theme changes.

Is there any information anywhere regarding which plugins are expected to work with 1.5?
Forum?
Downloads?
Chameleon?
I see that this site is running 1.5 with forum and downloads. Anything we need to know to get these to work?

I did some experimentation at home with 1.5rc2 on windows/xampp and found everything to work well-- except a minor issue with the theme that I'll try to post later.

Forum and File Management didn't need any changes.

The API for the Admin panels changed, which seems to have broken the few plugins that used it (e.g. the Autotags plugin). The actual plugin API did not change, though, so most plugins should work just fine.

bye, Dirk

I've been working on updating the themes for the Demo Site. There are going to be a few that will not make into the 15 version because they are no longer viewed as a good looking theme. If the original theme authors wish to update their themes and send them into www.spacequad.com, we will put them up on the demo site.
