Geeklog 2: To-do
Geeklog 2 has quietly been evolving into usable code. The current version in CVS has most of the needed framework components implemented and now full fledged plugin development can begin. To see an updated set of to-do items go to the wiki
I personally need a lot more eyes on the code, I have a ton of code in CVS that make up the framework and if it doesn't get proper scrutiny Geeklog 2 will fail. Those wishing to help out are encouraged to install the sample application that gives a working demonstration of the Geekog 2 framework. I started to document some of the key framework components here.
It is worth noting that Geeklog 2 is so fresh so new that keeping CVS in working order isn't really possible so if you are interested in helping, just check out the code try getting the database all setup and edit config.php to your liking. From there just ask questions either on geeklog-devtalk or in our IRC channel.
I hope some of you are up to the challenge, this is an exciting time for Geeklog and I hope we have turned a corner where a lot of code can be contributed.
Oh, yeah, and for those interested there are a few initial screenshots but they aren't anything great. The focus on those screens is on the functionality, not the UI so to really appreciate what we have accomplished you have to look at the code or possibly the PhpDocumentor output.
