Chevrotiere.com releases the TaskMan plugin and two new themes

PluginsChevrotiere.com is pleased to announce the launch of the TaskMan plugin! TaskMan is a plugin for the Geeklog framework which keeps track of your tasks. With it you will record your to do list, and as you work on each item, you check in and check out each task. Once you have added and completed all your tasks, you can view the calendar to see just exactly what you did each day. And when your boss needs to know what you did, you can go to the reporting page, and print out a nice excel spreadsheet of all your activities, grouped by client and project!

Check out the documentation, and if you like what you see, you can download TaskMan from Chevrotiere.com.

Additionally, there are two new Geeklog themes which can also be downloaded from Chevrotiere.com. To preview these themes go to the theme documentation.

Enjoy!

Eric works with me at Nextide and has been working with Geeklog for over 2 years. He has been working on a number of plugins and themes and has been able to find the extra time to package these up for the community. He's anxious for some feedback and frankly getting little or none after a week for such a significant initial contribution is a bit dissapointing. I guess not many want to welcome or encourage new contributors.

Actually, I haven't had time to look at the plugin and I'm sure others haven't either. So while I fully encourage him to continue, I can't really talk about what I like or don't like about his plugin.

I installed the plugin and liked it. It seems the plugin only allows the admin to create and manage projects. What would make this very powerful is if it would allow users to setup and manage their own projects.

Thanks! I'll keep this in mind for the next release of TaskMan :)

Sorry for the delay in not posting a comment. Was busy on some projects. I like the plugin. There was a glitch that Eric had to work out for me as something was not right. After that, everything worked great.

I like the program and have installed it on my main GL site.

The option to setup tasks for each project and the clickable calendar does not work, and the option is not visable to create any tasks.

I work for several real estate agents and if the option was available to setup different tasks, post a message or comment within a separate panel linked to each client, and if the tasks can be linked to the personal calender of the user/resource, it would be great. Another great option is to be able to create task templates so the list of tasks can be applied to similar projects/clients.

I double clicked on the word TaskMan and a very large business card appeared. I assume that it cannot be removed or replaced? The link on the cards goes no where.
