After many months of development and four rounds of beta testing, I have released version 2.3 of the Forum Plugin. This version contains many new features and bug fixes and recommended that existing users upgrade their plugin.

I have included several themed versions of the templates and CSS in the download package. The install document includes directions to upgrade and details of the changes, bug fixes and new features.

Many thanks to all those that participated in the betas testing and provided feedback.

The new archive is available in the downloads area here or from my site www.portalparts.com

For those that have glMessenger, the forum will use it's Private Messaging and Smilie Admin functionality. This will allow you to add/edit custom smilies for you community and communicate with other site members without having to share your email address.

Thanks again for your patience and support,
Blaine

Thank you very much Blaine, this forum revision coupled with glmessenger has made my site much more friendly to the users.

They're loving the pm feature and the smilie module now being intregrated into nearly every aspect of my site, stories, comments, forums etc, and many thanks for your assistance with this matter :D

Just a note to anyone considering purchasing glmessenger, don't hesitate! you won't regret it, I haven't and I very much doubt anyone else does either.

PS I am in no way affiliated with Blaine, but I do believe strongly that he should be rewarded for all the work he puts into improving Geeklog and all his plugins! Weather this is through donations or purchasing his premium plugins.

PS if you haven't seen glmessenger in action head over to Blaines Site and check it out!

Yeah! Forum 2.3 rox! and I just installed the glMessenger last week. About an hour after I installed it, I got my first PM!! - I hadn't even advertised that it was there. Between the forum and the messenger features, my users are loving my site!

There is a issue with the centerblock. The latest message shows the wrong posting time sometimes. I dont know why, but after reloading the page the time is correct. I dont have a timezone issue however. I could not figure out a way to reproduce behavior, but it happens definetely. anyone else?
