You can download it without registering but if you want to try it out you must register first. Thanks.. B.

Tried to install this, but some issues:

php3 not recognized by my server so I had to rename all the files and references to php

once i get it installed i get DB errors on run, even though tables seem like they were created successfully.
maybe related to php3 thing, anyhow, not had much luck with it.

It works just fine on my site, I only wish I could figure out how to get it to come up in the centerblock though...

In the announcement you say:

Not to be a pain here but you are treading on thin ice here. phpMyChat is a work that is licensed under the terms of the GPL. You have created a geeklog plugin who's sole purpose is to provide PhpMyChat functionality. You appear to have effectively created a derivative work of phpMyChat in doing so. Therefore, your plugin would need to be distributed under the terms of the GPL. In particular, I think this makes the registration requirement a problem.

Now, the standard I am not a lawyer thing applies AND this is even more complicated because of the nature of php and the soft linking between your plugin and phpMyChat so you can do what you want...But this seems very close to a GPL violation to me.

Ok..I think you can ignore me. I think what you are talking about is registering to try it out on your site...not having to "register as a user" of it before running on your own site..

woops.

I just went to your site to download PHPMyChat, but I need to be logged in
first. I registered, but you have it set for admin approval. Where else can
I get this plugin?
