Gallery (1.4.1-pl1) Geeklog Integration

AnnouncementsGallery has just released version 1.4.1-pl1. This release fixes a single security problem in the Gallery 1.4.1 release. The Geeklog/Gallery integration for Geeklog (all releases) and Gallery (1.4.1-pl1) is now available.

is it just me or does the new gallery break the Clean layout, and most others that I can see?
I'm having Gallery work fine, but there's no GL wrapper around it, just the gallery by itself.

Any ideas what i could be doing wrong?

On the last page of the gallery setup (towards the bottom) you need to fill out two values. There is a "Gallery Embedded Inside" variable and "Geeklog Path" variable. Both are needed.

P.S. I've not seen any problem with the clean theme being "broken" (I use it on one of my sites). Could explain what your seeing better or give a URL?

Hi,

I've got the same problem.

COM_siteHeader doesn't seem to produce any output.

Any idea what might cause this?

Hi,

Dirk answered this in another recent post.

The fix is to edit html_wrap/wrapper.header.default and change the line:

COM_siteHeader();

to read:

echo COM_siteHeader();

It's working for me now.

For me too, but I had to modify wrapper.header, NOT wrapper.header.default (there is no COM in .default file)

After I run the Configuration Wizard and go into the gallery for the first time, it seems to be running fine. But when I go to the homepage, I get a page that tells me:
"Your Gallery settings were configured with an older version of Gallery, and are out of date. Please re-run the Configuration Wizard! Here's how:"

then it tells me to set the permissions and run the Configuration Wizard. "Then launch the Configuration Wizard. If you experience problems, you can find help on the Gallery Help Page." The link to the configuration wizard is wrong, so I must have the path to geeklog wrong. The link tries to go to the url followed by the full path to the setup wizard.

Ok, this is what happens when I talk too soon. I have Random Photo... when I disabled that block the issue went away. Now my question is, is there a way to get it working with this new integration? The answer is probably here, but please, I'm fried after reconfiguring my gallery all day....

Just ignore me... these were the histerical rantings of frustration. I got it, it works great...

It seems it doesn't work with 1.3.9, or is it just me?

If so, any ETA?
