Anyhoo.. I think it is a GREAT idea for all of you to install for such a fair
price. This will be good for the Geeklog community.

Now.. My question. I need an upgrade , forum and gallery added. Please
tell me the cost. I am definately interested and in need. Thanks

you should note that those guys are actual developers
Who cares

So what, wlparks turned the stocks block into a plugin. A person doesn't have to be a core developer to be very proficient at installing this script.

At least, you could have logged in.

Anyway, Guys does it mean you'll stop solving user issues in the Forum?

Of course not. We've always had requests to set up a site for a fee, so we're just making that official now.

bye, Dirk

Very cool and I believe a step in the right direction indeed :) I have a proposition since I am the author behind Aeonserv. If some one is nice enough to explain this in a flash presentation while Aeonserv installs onto the users system I will definitely not only make it the splash screen but have it run while the system is installing.

I will run anything which can present itself nicely and stand-alone and be over with in about one minute.

It can take no longer than one minute as the install is about that quick. Also, give me all of the paypal information for everyone in a nice single page format and I will post it on my site for no fee. I understand Geeklog developers need the cash and so if I can help in any way just show me the way.

Thank you for your time

I would like to see an extension of this concept. A paid support forum. The money could in turn be used to pay the developers time for improving documention etc.

The developers spend an awful lot of time responding to question quickly etc. I do not really think they should do it for free.

A step further

I've gotten myself involved in maintaining quite a few Geeklog sites for other groups for free. Now I'm starting to feel quite burdened. Most of these groups have at least some $$ and could afford $50 here and there for install/maintenance. Anyone out there interested in support contracts?

psekhosting.com does free installations for all their clients. That was the main reason I signed up with them.

I dont think they do more than the standard default installation, but it is free.

Hello,

We are still running GeekLog v1.3.9sr2 as when we tried updating, the page templates broke. Now we're being bombareded with Spam User Accounts and comments!

I am looking for someone to help us upgrade to the latest version of Geeklog, and do updates as and when required. I also think that we're probably not maximising the functionality and features of the software, so this could also be an area for consideration.

We are a small independent UK record label, so someone who understands our needs or is interested in what would do would be preferable. Obviously this is a paid gig - within reason!

I look forward to hearing from experienced Geekloggers who can consider my proposition.

Thanks,

Jason.

Please email me through my account here. I am looking to do this a soon as I can.
