Forum Project 2.2 Released

AnnouncementsThis is the upgrade Forum Plugin Project for GL 1.3.8 - I'd like to see some more testing before recommending it for all users. It has a number of bug fixes and GL 1.3.8 centerblock support plus more - read the update in the install_doc.

Users upgrading should read the updated instructions in install_doc.htm. I've also included new functions and support for the new GL 1.3.8 User functions that allow plugin developers to extend the user account information. Refer to the section on "Enabling Extended User Profile"

Also included is Dirks German translation language file.

From the Admin menu, select "Forum", then "Settings". The second block from the bottom says "Centerblock Settings" ...

Most of the buttons (and the smilies) use Javascript, so you need to have that activated.

Blaine, i noticed you changed the Topic_Id in the centerblock links to reflect to the "Topic_Id" respectively... however, I have a client who "liked the old way" where that link went directly to the Post itself (postid).

Is there any way I can fix this manually for him? I looked at the centerblock_displayline.thtml and the link is exactly the same as 2.0. So I figured it had to be in the php. After a few hours of chasing rabbits, I thought I'd see if you might have a quicker solution?

Maybe this could be a user feature in future releases? (Centerblock Links go directly to post) (Centerblock Links go to Topic Only).

Thanks

I must be doing something wrong.

Everything works fine, except the "Forum" link isn't put on the toolbar at the top, for ordinary (non admin) users.

The avatars display with an html tag saying length="" and width="50"

1. should that be height instead of length?
2. the avatar is malformed if its width is less than 50.
