Hackers on my site

That's a question YOU can only answer. Look in your server and Geeklog logs and try to determine how they entered. It's possible you inadvertently deleted the directory yourself or your host did. Unless you have some valuable info, crackers usually like to deface websites or pull other practical jokes not delete the directory which would give them full control. I'm not saying your site wasn't broken into. You're the only one though who has the info to investigate what really happened.

There could be a number of ways a person could break in. If you never changed the password on Admin or Moderator, they can walk right into the front door. If you didn't upgrade to the latest security release, they could exploit previously known holes. If you or your host installed other software with holes, they could get in that way. This could very well be a new security hole for GL, but YOU need to investigate it yourself because no one else here has access to the necessary info.

We look forward to you posting what you find. BTW, if you do determine through logs that this was an intruder and live in the U.S., you can report the incident to the FBI. There's probably an equivalent organization in other countries.

come on as he said he was drunk with the host one night and they deleted the folder and then told his wife it was the crackers and that the hackers helped them...
