Thursday, May 15 2008 @ 11:45 PM EDT is geeklog good for games site i am trying to set up a gaming clan site and was thinking of using geeklog cause i thought this site used it http://www.tu-clan.combut after installling i found out that its not really suitable for games does anyone know what weblog that site uses if not how hard is it to add things to it like roster page / next matches last matchs blocks etc i am a noob to php but am willing to learn thx

That site is obviously using PHP-Nuke (just look at the HTML source of the site). What makes you think Geeklog is "not really suitable for games"? What are you missing? You could easily use the built-in calendar for things like upcoming matches. And making a block that displays past events (i.e. last matches) shouldn't be too hard either ... There are clan sites out there that run Geeklog. However, I'm not into those kinds of games, so the only one I can think of right now is ClanDoH, but I have seen others ... bye, Dirk is geeklog good for games site

after playing around with it more geeklog is pretty good for a clan site
just i need need to create a roster page but ill sort that out later currently i need to edit the calender how do i remove the end date, end time, event type and all the fields that asks for your address do i edit the calender.php and just search for anything that relates the the above? is geeklog good for games site

You should be able to simply edit the *template* files for the calendar pages...search calendar.php and calendar_event.php for the .thtml extension. Then edit the appropriate template in your theme(s) in the layout directory. Read the template portion of the docs.
