These modes have never been used for anything - it doesn't matter what you select there. They are just relics from something that was planned but never implemented (don't know any details - that was way before my time ;-) bye, Dirk Relics

How about we figure out what we can juse this for? Refreshing makes no sense to me ... Archive could be a good one, with an auto archive feature ...
Now, this could be a place to define \'Forum\' or \'News\' so a Forum story is basically a new thread in a Forum view, and the News story is the atypical News story we\'re using at the moment. Also, a Forum story could be flagged as \'Newsworthy\' and be shown up on index.php as well .... Random pre-coffee thoughts.. (a not logged in) MLimburg Relics

refreshing makes me think that the story would refresh itself so that it will \'always-on-top\' on the list of stories...

What, sort of a 'featured story'
without it being a featured story. In
phpBB2 speak, it would be 'sticky' as
it sticks to the top of the list.
Hmmmm, I'm getting some good ideas out of this .. I'll start writing up a sketch of what can be done with them. Forum view, here we come :) |
