Conversion from Slash.dot to Geeklog

GeeklogI would like to convert my slash.dot weblog to Geeklog. Most of my content are just contributions and do not include comments and threads.

1. Have anyone done this before and do you know of any conversion tools available to port my existing database across?

2. Can you share with me your experience in your conversion?

Thanks

i haven\'t heard of anyone doing this but this certainly doesn\'t mean it can\'t happen and we wouldn\'t be glad to help steal us a new loyal convert.

if you could give us the url of your site and the exact version of the software you\'re using, we\'d be able to see how much massaging it\'s going to take to mangle slash into geeklog.

it\'d also be helpful to know what you\'d like to save going over to geeklog (I know the answer is everything, but if you have to give up some data in automatic conversion, what would you be minimally satisfied with ?) If you have only a few registered users, you might be willing to add them manually, etc.

We have one converter in our downloads section so it can be done. Vdanan, the other of that script, lurked in IRC on irc.openprojects.net in #geeklog while he wrote it and was able pick our brains when needed. You could do the same! Good Luck!?!

*Nuke->Geeklog converter anyone? Now THAT would be cool.
