We are nearing the release candidate for 1.3.5. In CVS now, I have added the support for images in articles. For the impatient, you can download it from CVS. An actual release candidate is probably still a couple of days off yet.
If you try the new image support, please let me know what you think or how it could be improved.

You need to save your story before the preview works (use the "draft" option if you don't want it to be published immediately).
Had the same problem yesterday :-)
bye, Dirk
So, yes, we will address bugs.

The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there\'s only one other choice.
stop making features!
make the code stable, clean, modular, but STOP to make features. If we want this imagefunction we\'re able to do it ourself (i though\'t this is a geeklog?), but we can\'t fix bug\'s, \'cause either those corrected things are lost in the next release (we upgrade) or we don\'t upgrade and well, this sucks too.
Don't worry, there are lots of bugfixes in 1.3.5 as well.
And, as you said: This is a Geeklog - and sometimes the Geeks who make it get a bit carried away, feature-wise ;-)
bye, Dirk
The images in article has been on the to-do list for a long time and I\'m to a point where I really need it on my site. Being I help develop Geeklog, I tend to itch my own scratches and while that may seem selfish, I do also try my best to itch the scratches of others.
As I said, we are bug squashing. We will be releasing 1.3.5rc1 soon. And you, Mr. Anonymous Coward, better be the first one in line to download it and start testing. There are better ways to contribute than by bitching. For example, have you considering helping us out by fixing some bugs yourself?

As shown here, you can insert images using the HTML img tags. This image is from my site's photo gallery
I have some examples on my site with more in the testing section of my site that show using HTML to include images, tables or both in articles here
I've not downloaded the new version but assume you have implemented more functionality that may not require using native HTML or has image upload capability integrated.
